The client is a global leader in optical materials and a listed company. Vijay designed and built a new central feeding and batching system for its 10 production lines.
The production of optical materials requires very precise formulas and high cleanliness, so Vijay designed a fully automated batching and mixing system for it according to food-grade standards. The raw materials of the formula are as many as more than ten kinds of powders and granules, and the characteristics of the raw materials are also diverse, especially the bulk density range is from 0.3 kg per liter to 3.8 kg per liter. In addition to the moisture absorption characteristics, the materials are also viscous, which is a severe test for the material conveying and mixing system. Vijay engineers adopted a combination of Vijay's patented ACU and double-tube conveying technology to completely overcome the technical difficulties of pipe blocking. In the mixing system, Vijay's specially designed dual-rotation mixer has the characteristics of high mixing efficiency and fast discharge, so that two mixing equipment can easily achieve 120 tons of high-uniformity mixed materials per day.
The commissioning of the system has reduced the number of operators in the customer's original pre-treatment process from 24 to 4. The quality is more stable and the confidentiality and traceability of the formula are achieved. The innovative design, control structure and on-site electronic dashboard have greatly improved the efficiency of managers and production sites.
